Andrew Sullivan Piano

Meet Andrew
Passionate Piano Instructor
Hi, and welcome! I'm a passionate piano teacher who absolutely loves the process of learning new music and helping others experience that same excitement. One of my greatest joys is guiding students as they learn to read music, develop their skills, and see real progress in their playing.
I began playing piano at the age of 7 and continued my studies through college at Westminster University. Piano has been a lifelong passion, and I truly treasure it as a skill that I aim to keep improving on for the rest of my life. Teaching others brings me joy, and I’m excited to share my love for music with my students!

About the Lesson Program

I'm excited to offer piano lessons from the comfort of my home, creating a welcoming and inspiring environment for students to learn and grow. I’m also happy to travel to students’ homes within Salt Lake City for in-person lessons if that’s more convenient. And for those who prefer it, I’m fully open to working with online-only students as well — whatever fits your needs best!

I believe that learning piano should be both inspiring and structured. My teaching style is patient and encouraging, but also focused — every lesson is designed with continuous improvement in mind. Whether you're just starting out or looking to take your playing to the next level, I’m here to support and motivate you every step of the way.
I can't wait to share the joy of music with you!

If you’re interested in taking piano lessons, I’d love to hear from you!

I understand that every student's schedule is different, and I’m committed to making piano lessons as easy and accessible as possible. I’m very flexible with lesson times and will always do my best to accommodate what works best for you and your family. My goal is to create a learning environment that feels supportive, consistent, and fits naturally into your life.
Payment Information
Payment for lessons will be collected in person at the start of each lesson. If you prefer to book multiple lessons in advance, I’m happy to offer discounted rates — just let me know and we can discuss the options. I also understand that schedules can change, so if you ever need to miss a lesson, makeup lessons can be arranged and accumulated as needed to ensure you get the full value of your learning experience.
Learning Progress
In lessons, we’ll start by building a strong foundation with basic playing techniques and learning to read music, using the Faber Piano Adventures series as our main guide. For students who can already read music and have some playing experience, I’m happy to tailor lessons to whatever style or songs they’re excited about — whether that's classical, pop, jazz, or anything in between. My focus is on helping students continually develop their technique, musicality, and overall playing ability, all while making sure we keep the joy and fun of making music at the heart of every lesson.
